Three meals a day.
« on: December 15, 2006, 03:13:37 PM »
Ive been trying to eat three meals a day for the last few weeks except fast days. Im atempting to stop eating once or twice a day and all sporadic. I still have ate late a few times but still trying three meals. I actually have been feeling better since I started doing that. I have not weigh myself but it looks like my stomach is getting smaller. ;D Now if I can fully implement the gym into it all things will be alright. I started this because I heard if you want to speed up your metabolism you have to eat consistantly.  Hopefully in a few months I will be back were I need to be. I also eat like I did when I was like a kid so that means anything. Im not on a set diet and yet I still feel better.

Breakfast before 10am
Lunch around 12pm
Dinner 6pm
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

Thats whats up MM. I just started hitting the gym to get in shape. I have also heard that eating consistantly speeds up the metabolism. I was told to eat 5 small meals through out the day and that would speed it up. Im with you though I will see how this works in 3 or 4 months.

Joel Olsteens preached about "Eating Right" a while back. He gave some good tips as far as eating right goes. Here are a few I remember:

1. Don't multi-task while eating. In other words don't try doing a lot of different things (i.e., watching TV, reading, working, homework) while eating.

2. Eat slowly. It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to receive the information that your stomah is full. When you too eat fast, you eat more than you should.

3. Eat a larger meal in the beginning of the day and decrease the size of each meal there after.

4. Do not skip breakfast and lunch. This will cause you to eat a larger portion at dinner. It is healthier to eat smaller portions throughout the day.

5. Avoid lusting and craving after food you see. Insulin is released into your body even when you crave after food you see and thus you have a false sense of being hungry.

It's hard for me to eat on this College Diet that I'm on.......which is basically eating whenever you're not at work, in class, or doing homework. ;)

It's hard for me to eat slowly when I'm hungry, But I'll try.
