Staying in same chord
« on: November 06, 2006, 03:08:33 PM »
I was wondering what you do when you stay in the same chord for a while.  It just sounds like banging to me.  I would greatly appreciate any pointers!!

Well, you can run a bass line with it, so that you are distracted from the fact that you are on the same chord for a long time.  Example from a familiar shouting pattern:

Key Eb  LH/RH

Eb / Db-G-C-Eb
C /
Db /
D /
Eb / Db-Gb-Bb
F / C-F-Ab
Gb / Bb-Eb-Bb
G / Ab-C-F
Ab / Gb-Bb-C-Eb
F /
Gb /
G /
Ab /
G /
Ab /
A /
Bb / G-Bb-Eb
A /
Bb /
Cb /
C / E-Ab-Bb-Eb
Bb /
Ab /
G /
F / A-C-Eb-Gb
G /
Ab /
A /
Bb / Ab-C-Eb
C /
Db /
D /
(repeat)
Real musicians play in every key!!!
Music Theory, da numbers work!
