The gospel remake of R. Kelly's song "Can't Live" is never appropriate to sing in anyone's church, or even at all.

Somebody posted a long time ago, I think it was bishop2, that an organist was playing "Glad to be in the Service" at a funeral.

... He didn't have to let me live...

Man! That still cracks me up!

*cracking up all over again*

Okay, I'm glad someone corrected that "through" > "threw" > "thrown". That is all.

I don't know if Tye Tribbett has a version, but the version I'm talking about is a choir type version. Here's what I'm talking about:

I don't know.

Maybe a song like "He touched me" in a church full of gay men who need Jesus.  :)

Our previous pastor had been pressuring our choirs to always be prepared to sing "Welcome Into This Place" anytime we had visitors.  We all felt kinda weird about it, because if you pay attention to the lyrics, it is welcoming God into the hearts and souls of people.  Eventually I just re-wrote the lyrics to the same tune so that we could have a song that welcomes people to visit the church.

Now everybody's happy happy.  Only problem is, if I'm ever in a position to need to sing the actual song, I'll probably botch the lyrics.
FAITH unites people
RELIGION divides FAITH
