Hi everyone,
My choir is doing a medley on this easter sunday. So we are doing these songs in this order (the song key in bracket):
1) Now Behold The Lamb - Kirk Franklin. (Bb we ain't reaching the modulation)
2) Above All, crucified - Women of Faith (F)
3) Bread of Life (You are the Living word) - Fred Hammond (Eb).
4)My redeemer lives - Nicole Mullen.
I found ways to move from song to song like this:
(from end of Now behold the lamb)
The pre -------Eb/BbFEb
cious lamb ---- F/CFA
of God ------ Bb/DFBb.
(the progression of those last 3 chords is 4-5-1 and the last chord, Bb major, is the 4 of the next key, F, so from that Bb chord, i join up the 5 and 1 chords in F, continuing the movement in F like this:)
/D,E,F (single notes)
CGC/F
/EF
FCF/CFGA.
Then i go into Above All intro.
At the end of above all...
Above all ---- FC/GACF
(next key is Eb, so i go)
(counts in 4/4)
(1)F/F
(2)G/G
(3)Ab/Ab
(4)F/F
(1)C/AbCEb(Kinda sounds like Praise is What I Do bridge.)
(2)
(3)
(4)D/BbDF
(1)
(2)
(3)Eb/CEbAb
(4)F/DFBb
(1)Bread of life ---- G/EbGBb
last transition going to key G...
You are the --- Ab/EbAbC
living --- Bb/FBbD
(next chord is C major chord, the major chord of the 6 on the key we're on and the 4 of the key we going)
word --- C/GCE
C/GCE
D/ADF# (very sharply, an 8th/16th note i think)
G/BDG (Straight to the intro of My Redeemer lives).
Please i need suggestion on other ways i could do these transition (cooler, spicier, jazzier) , also i would appreciate tips on transitions, and examples of transition y'all done did.
Bless u!
