Going from keyboard to piano???? need suggestions
« on: May 11, 2004, 08:14:14 PM »
When I was taking piano lessons and was at my mother's church I played on a piano like 3 times a week and now that I don't go there and don't take lessons I play on a piano on sunday....But they don't get all of what I can do like my runs and stuff because on the piano the keys are heavy to me now...they be sticking...they don't always play when I hit them.

is there anything I can do through my practicing during the week that will allow me to play in church the way I practice?  in church I don't do any runs I usually just be doing chords and I don't like that.

Well basically it just sounds like the piano that you are playing on is kinda old.  If it was a baby grand, or grand piano, the keys would probably easier to play on. So I would say have a piano technician come look at it.  And if its your fingers, I would say practice your fingering on that hard piano, then when you get to a keyboard or organ, it will be on like neckbone
