You said "No offense Eric but this site isn't a place for crazy showing off, but to educate our Gospel drummers and Musicians so they can be successfull in the body of christ".                                                                                                                                                                        Thats why I answered "Hahaha again I disagree (its not our Sunday Man lol) I believe there's room for everything drum fro A to Z! Ill admit being 33 I'm a bit older then most on here and I have been playing for 23 years. I have stuff together that allot of you guys don't, BUT! Some of the licks you guys are coming up with I have to sit and learn! I just know how and where to use them"!!!!!

Oh okay my bad I got you now! :) Anyways I guess this is just where opinions kick in. Truthfully and spiritually you can't mix secular and gospel, I mean you can if you want to, but I wouldn't advise you to. Being a christian based web-site I don't try to teach anyone anything but the truth about being a musician in ministry. Showing off is never going to get you ahead in the gospel industry, in the secular world yeah I can understand that, but here in the Gospel Industry where are people are truly about god (well supposed to be) we don't get  ahead by showing off and trying to be on top all the time and trying to be known by everyone. You can ask almost any seasoned drummer the gospel industry is way more than you being a tight musician, thats just part of the task, but the truth is really when you forget about yourself and think about all those people who truly need god, you won't need to show-off cause once you experience the Glory Cloud (Read Chronicles) you aren't going to care about yourself no more, then you are really, truly going to be looking for a worship experience!!!!!  Just a little word!!!! :) :) :)

Yo this is why you are wrong, Spanky, Aaron, Gerald, Calvin, Big Mike and lots more are Christian musicians who are or were playing Gospel music and were not known until they started showing off their licks and that's when everyone noticed and started using them more. You all there in Florida must be in a whole other gospel land.

Yeah we are, cause we are true about what we do. Technically those artist who picked up seasoned could have picked up other skillfull drummer out there. I know Tye could have found someone better than Spanky, Israel could have found someone better than Big Mike, and Calvin there is no better!!!!!! LOL  naw for real Im pretty sure someone saw somebody better than Calvin. These artist saw the true anointing of god on these guys yes along with talent, but you have to have that combination.

Yo Calvin proved to me he can drum on the new Martha Munizzi (You should know her). He played seasoned on that recording. Everything was in the right place, not over played but not under played. like a good piece of steak!

Yeah I knew her from when she was with Clint Brown, and like always Calvin did a heck of a job on her album. It was on Billboard #1 for the longest and still might be. I havent been checking lately. That man is awesome anointed he inspires me so much. And if you ever chat with him and hear how he ministers the man is true in doing God's work!!! :) :)

Man, why is everybody trippin'?

Some people are critiquing this as if it were an actual, final and finished product.

Eric is just having fun over an ALREADY RECORDED TRACK!

I can see if he was laying this down in the studio as a finished product, PEOPLE PEOPLE... he's just shedding.
When you shed, you don't play in the pocket or play disciplined.  You let loose and play sort of wild. What is going on?

...AND IF YOU CAN'T HEAR THAT THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR THE FINAL AND ACTUAL TRACK SUMTHIN' IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOUR EARS and you maybe need to brush up on your craft (just a little)!!!!    :'(

... Some of us are thinking way too deep given the situation at hand!  ( he's just having fun)
Who are we to critize the way he has fun regarding his craft?!  ::)

The fact remains... Eric is getting GIG(s)  with an S... which means more than one.
So OBVIOUSLY he knows when and what to play at the right times!!!
