Whats the most churchy change or chord?

I asked this question of a jazz musician and he told me this chord two hours later a nother guy came in the house and we asked him and he gave the same exact chord

I thought that was strange how a chord could be a churchy chord

but the chord was

Ebmaj/E

in particular use it as follows

C, C, E, G Bb C  rest 1 beat

E/G Bb Eb  2 beats

 F/ F A D   1 beat

G/E G C     1 beat


What chord or change says church to you

I have to get back with you on that one but I would say

D/GbACEb as the 2 chord.

You gave me a nostalgic momment with that chord I use it as a 3 chord

and i use it the same notes in a different inversion on the 7

its just a vamp type thing

you basically are walking to the five from the three

but more accurately you are playing a turn around

I think the diminished chord in shouting music or preaching chords is the most "churchy"
