Smooth Jazz Piano: The Complete Guide with CD by Mark Harrison



I've just purchased the book (I'm on pg. 30, 31) and it has really helped my understanding of chords and such. It is a wonderful, wonderful book. It puts theory in easy-to-understand language. Please, if you can get it go to Amazon.com and get it.

No, I saw it; but I wanted to check out the Jazz book first to see what the deal was. If you get the blues book, let us know.  ;)

I only ordered the jazz book. After I complete that, I may go back and order the blues book. So, I finally sat down to check it out :D I really like it. Of course, I listened to the tracks first. They are sizziling hot. I'm definitely gonna use them during offering time at church (oops...did I say I was gonna play some jazz music during offering...shame on me :D :D :D)

By the way, Sjonathan, how are you coming along with the book? Are you done with it yet?

Done with it? Done with it? It's going to take me awhile to actually finish it (that rhythm problem that I have). So, what I'm trying to do is to understand and incorportate the chords that are used.

I'm stuck on page 36.
