Who is your all time favorite male gospel group?

Just wondering who your all time favorite gospel guy group is. I love the Winans, Men of Standard and Take 6, but my ALL TIME favorite gospel guy group is Commissioned!!!! I'm sitting here listening to some of their old stuff now, and I can't believe how talented these guys were. They definitely had a style all their own, and they've inspired countless others, such as Boyz II Men and N'Sync.

I love the original Commissioned best (Fred Hammond, Michael Brooks, Keith Staten, Mitchell Jones, Karl Reaid, and Michael Williams).

Loopy, Honestly I love everyone of those groups up there. I listen to all of them especially the Williams Brothers( HINT-HINT)  Bishop Cole

Yeah, I'd have to say Commissioned, as well.  Marvin Sapp wasn't an original member?  Loopy, you are the gospel music wiz!

The Question Is who is the greatest. Ain't No Need to Worry, the answer is THE WINANS. I mean come on, they practically started a Gospel revolution.

LOL :D People say that all the time! I've been closely following gospel music since I was 5, so I know tons of stuff about gospel!

Marvin Sapp was not an original member of Commissioned. He came aboard in 1990 after Keith Staten left. (Michael Brooks, the original producer/songwriter/keyboardist, left around the same time). marvin was an excellent addition to the group, but IMHO Commissioned's best work was their first six albums (with the original group), though I enjoyed their later work as well.

Vangelist, I definitely agree with you. The Winans were revolutionary and I literally grew up on them and Commissioned. I love them both. I literally have every project both groups have ever released! But in choosing a favorite, I have to go with Commissioned! Their vocals and lyrics are unmatched!

My favorite male gospel group is the Great Sam Cooke and his early gospel groups.

They song such songs as:

Wonderful
Where You there
Trouble Don't Last Alwalys
Be With me Jesus

any many more.
