« on: April 08, 2004, 10:06:41 PM »
Is there any good Hymnals out there that I could purchase that have all or most of the hymns in them with gospel style chords in it?

thanks!

Here are some hymnals that are used in churches that I know of:

* Church of God In Christ Hymnal
* National Baptist Hymnal
* Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Hymnal
* United Methodist Hymnal
* African American Heritage Hymnal
* Songs of Zion
* Gospel Pearls
* Free Spirit

For me the African American Heritage Hymnal  and the Songs of Zion Book are the better ones.

The African American Hymnal is the best.  I can't leave without it now..I keep it in my car.

              I have a question, are the chords for the treble and bass straight up over and under. I hope u know what I mean. In the cocic book they have the sheet music written like that and it drives me up the wall?  I  :?: am thinking about purchase this african heritage book if its not written like this.
