So what is your favorite song to sing?
« on: April 10, 2006, 10:04:02 PM »
Not sure if this has already been a topic, but i'm a little bored. So what is your favorite song or what are you known for singing?

Mine...

Alabaster Box
I love the Lord
and Still I Rise...this is my favorite right now.

First of all I will be honest to say that I'm a keyboard/piano player and not really a singer, but these are songs that I not only enjoy to sing myself but really enjoy when our choirs sings them.

- Lord I'm Avaliable To You
- I love The Lord
- Holy, Holy, Holy

WELL MY FAVORITE WAS "BREAD OF LIFE" BY FRED HAMMOND, UNTIL MY WIFEY SAID I SANG TOO MUCH. (NOT MY FAULT PEOPLE ASKED ME TO SING). THEN SHE TOLD ME I SANG TOO LOUD (NOT MY FAULT I SING LOUD CAUSE I WAS CONSIDERED A STRONG TENOR IN THE CHOIR AND THEY WANTED ME LOUD) :)

BUT NOW MY FAVORITE SONG IS "GREATFUL" BY HEZ.  THAT SONG TAKES ME AWAY EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

Safe In His Arms by The Thompson Community Singers
Praise Jehovah by The Chicago Mass Choir
Say Yes by Youthful Praise

I lead all of these songs at church.

My favorite song to sing in the choir stands is God Wants A Yes by James Hall and Through It All By Ricky Dillard.

My favorite song to sing (although I was just a young child when it was released) is the first SOLO I ever sang. That song is "My Soul Has Been Anchored" by Douglas Miller. I sing it in the key of C# because I feel the song so much better there than the original key of C.

My favorite to sing solo is Fred Hammond's "Please Don't Pass Me By", close second is Fred's "Give Me A Clean Heart"

My faovrite to sing as a group is "Excellent".  There are so many versions of this.  The one I like best starts out

"Ooooh Lord......How Ex....Cellent.   How Ex....Cellent.   How Ex....Cellent.  Is  Thy name"

Peace,

James

My favorite song to sing is Denise Williams "My Soul's Desire", and Kim McFarland's "Intercession", I always get requests for "Lamb Of God" by The New York Restoration Choir when Donnie McClurkin was with the Group.   :)

My favorite songs to sing are:

I know I've Been Changed by LaShun Pace

What A Friend We Have In Jesus

I agree with Drakeboy.........My Worship Is For Real is a wonderful song. I sang back up for her and her husband and we did that one and the spirit just moved.  It was a wonderful thing to be apart of.  I love a lot of the songs that everyone mentioned.  I Love The Lord is another good one.  But, that is it for now.  I may think of something else later.

Smooches!!!

"I love you Lord, and I lift my voice
to worship you, oh my soul rejoice.
Take joy my king in what you hear.
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ears."

That is another one that I love to sing.
If you take the time to smell the roses,
life will be much more sweeter.  Smooches!!

Annointing Fall On Me and during praise and worship (because I'm the P&W leader) I'm Running For My Life...
"and if anybody ask you what's the matter with me, just tell 'um I'm saved sanctified, Holy Ghost filled, water baptised, I got Jesus
my side. I'm running for my life".
I won't take nothing for my journey now. No turnin' back, no turnin' back.
