Chicago choir...
« on: March 23, 2006, 10:40:21 PM »
Hey everyone! I pray that all is well with you all. I am writing to see if there's anyone in here or knows someone that would be interested in joining a newly formed choir in Chicago. I'm not sure how many Chicago heads we have here...but for those that know the city of chicago, know that choirs are just not..."in" anymore. Everybody and they great grammama' got a group though...I'm a choir head to the very fullest and with much prayer/supplication and fasting, I'm going to get this choir off the ground. That's why I'm learning how to play now! LOL ;D So any Chicago sangaz' hit me up and let me know.

All types...I'm a "traditional cat" myself, but A little bit of everything. I want to appeal to the young, middle-aged, and old.

Now that sounds like a choir to me... I love the new school and modern music but we must not forget those song that brought us over. I am a young one myself so im not well familiarized with spirituals but the traditionals like the Hawkins, the Late Rev. James Cleveland, Mississippi Mass Choir, Chicago Mass Choir, LA Mass Choir, Georgia Mass Choir etc... are the types of songs I remember hearing while growing up. I am not from Chicago but i wish you the best and I will keep your ministry in my prayers. May God continue to bless your ministry.

Hello MauRece!! I just wanted to speak up and support you.  I live about 45 minutes outside of the Chi.  I think it's wonderful what you are going to do.  I would love to see what you are putting together. I am a soprano but I can sing all parts, but like I said, I live outside of Chicago and getting out there is problem.  So, I will have to speak blessings upon you from afar. But, feel free to talk to me anytime.  I do make my way out there every now and then.  So holla at a sista sometime.

Smooches!!!
If you take the time to smell the roses,
life will be much more sweeter.  Smooches!!
