dennis could fit in anywhere, but i think he would more fit in with the others that Sabe mentioned, they in my opinion cater to a more diversified audience than tye does...  they do alot of different styles of music.

What! I love Spanky but you cant compare the two....Come on! Spankys good but hes not that good! Ive always thought of Dennis playing s a really fast gospel drummer. But in the last ten years his jazz playing has stepped up! I use to really be into him but I don't know, he just doesn't play with the fire and power he used to in the late 80's to mid 90's.

I don't think at this point he feels he has anything left to prove. He is back with a big band now so his career is come full circle. He is just having fun now. I am yet to see him live so that is a goal of mine. I would really want to talk one-on-one and ask him what makes him tick and what his real view is on the "so called" musicians of today.
