PHATT FILL-INS!!!

hi everyone, here are 2 fillers i use right before going to the 2 chord. i'll use the key of C.

DAb / CFBb filler

DbG / BEA filler

D / CEFA (2-chord) Dmin9

if you look closely you'd realise that the 2 filler chords are 1/2 step appart. they are actually quatal chords over tritones.

Those pros that have PHATT chords like that that they do before the 2-chord, post it..

I would do the same thing

on the last chord I would go to a @ with a flat five and 11

D-11 b5

D Ab/ CEG  for the last chord

Do you have any other PHATT fillers that you use when going to 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 etc? I think i really need to phatten my playing. God bless.

Dude I actually do try this

Over a AG shel in the left hand play one two or three or all four of these triads as a run and let the last one voice lead into the Dminor

E major
Db major
Bb major
G major


if you dont like the sound of all the chords or the whole triad you can use one or two notes from the triad

YOu can also play a Aalt chord

A/G C C$ F

and over this chord you can run these notes

A Bb C Db Eb F G A

I dont know a lot of runs but you do know you can always precede a chord by its diminished below and dominant or major sevent above
