rich is a vague term.  You have to describe the sound you're trying to get.  Right of the bat, do you use a sustain pedal.  With keyboards that can help fill the gaps.

Whats Up!

I play for two quartet groups. So to make my sound fuller I play different inversions and progressions.
if you have a bass player scales are the most essential part especially the blues scale.

For example Key of C:

C- Eb-F-F#-G-Bb-C
