Heads for Gretsch Renown Maple

What heads give the best sound on Renown Maples? I'm looking for a nice deep sound.

I'd go with Evans. Remo's are too bright. Go with coated G2's with a G1 Reso side.

Oh by the way, if you dont like coated heads a clear G2 is just as good! and if you want more resonance from your drums, I would go with a Resonant head on the reso side, rather than the G1.

Coated G2s form Evans on the toms.  EQ3 batter side kick with an EQ3 reso or EMAD reso.
