Another way you can get to th 4 from the 1 is to do a 6-2-5-1-4  a bass pattern really.

truth4life I'm familiar with the song you posted in the beginning. I don't play it that much but just at home. I sometimes do a walking bass (I like to play octave basses) in the left hand on the end of a verse. I have to try and play this and see what I actually do but I know I like to walk basses a lot for a chord change.

I need to try some of this some other stuff. Thank you T-Block!
