Hi,

You said the song is "I'm Free", how does the song go (lyrics) as I want to make sure its the correct version I might be able to help you with.

Hello all,

Do you have ALL of the words to this song (not just the first line)? I also need it for a funeral, just days away!!!

Thank you so much!!!

I was told there was another verse, but everytime I  heard the song it only had the one verse. Either way I don't think my source was credible.

So again thank you!!!

Who sings this song?
Living for Jesus, Glorifying God in all that I do and in all I do Glorify God.

I have no idea...I've only heard local soloists sing it at churches, usually for funerals.

No problem :)   I think it's just a public domain song I would think it's one that was created back in slavery and passed on.

B-3_trainee, you may want to listen to the very small clip at the site below.  I did a Yahoo search and discovered that this song was recorded by Calvert McNair (formerly of a group called "The Nightingales") back in 1996 shortly before he died of terminal cancer.  One site also suggests that he wrote the song, but  I don't know how true that is.  If you run a search, you'll hear other clips of the song that start at different points in the performance.
