Ethel Caffe Austin is an extraordinary pianist. She plays traditional Black Gospel. The Spirit of the Lord is definitely in her playing. Yes I believe you can learn from her Dvd. I only have the first part on VHS. I bought it before I was able to play, you should be able to play at first before you get this video. You dont have to be advanced but at least a beginner with a desire and know major chords so you wont be totally lost. Although she spells out everything she is doing. If you have a desire to learn you will be fine. This is one DVD you can sit to and listen because this sister can flat out play.
