Vocal exercises?
« on: February 26, 2006, 08:30:09 PM »
I haven't sang in yeeeeeaaaaaarrrrrs!

I'm getting back into the game now, but my voice has seriously taken a hit. I know some exercises to get it back into shape, and I'm not tone deaf, so I'm sure I can get it to an ok level in a couple months. My question is, what exercises do you all do?

I know these:

1. Vowel exercises
2. Consonant exercises
3. Scales and Breathing

I do placement excercises like "Nay Nay Nay." I do these really nasally to make sure i'm not closing off my nasal resonance, and singing from my throat. I don't actually sing nasally at the engagements, just as a practice technique.
Seven days without prayer makes one weak.
