Chord Progression

I am a self-taught musician, who gift of music was given to me by none other than God through my prayers. I am also an amature musician with only a little experience, only playing in church behind another more experience keyboard player. There is 3 question that I have about chord progression.

1.) What is the circle of fourths and fifths? How do I use it for chord progression?

2.) Is there a standard chord progression for gospel music? Or, what is the most common types of chord progression for gospel music?

3.) I know that gospel is nothing but blues, so what is the blues progression?

Thanx for your help, and my God bless you and your talent.
All the glory goes to God for my talent.

1. For info on Circle of 5ths/4ths, go here:
http://www.learngospelmusic.com/ftopict-15063-circle.html+fifths

2. Main gospel music progressions: 1-4-5-1, 2-5-1, 7-3-6, 3-6-2-5-1

3. As far as blues progressions, they usually use a lot of 7th chords.  I don't think gospel and blues are the same, but they do have some similarities.  I don't really play blues that much except for some blues type scales:

1, b3, 4, 5, b7, 1
1, b3, 4, b5, 5, b7, 1
1, 2, b3, 3, 5, 6, 1

I hope that helps u out!!!
Real musicians play in every key!!!
