Was I Wrong?
« on: November 27, 2005, 02:44:59 AM »
Whats up everyone. I've made two posts on here that have been deleted  or whatever. In the posts I was asking for the song unbreakable by Alicia Keys. I have to play it for a 50 year wedding celebration in a few weeks. The posts have been deleted each time. Am I wrong for makeing that post on here. I saw on another post on the break down of the theory of Ordinary People by John Legend. someone let me know if I am wrong for makeing the post looking for the chords

I suppose you just play octaves in the bass.

BB/AC#EG#
AbAb/BDF#A
C#C#/BEG#
F#F#/A#C#EG#
F#F#/A#C#EG#

The bass run is a simple walkup (that repeats the same notes an octave higher), G#(G#),A(A),A#(A#), this will lead you back into the beginning chords. That's about the just of it.

I do think it's funny that people try to take advantage of gospel sites to find secular chords, I was guilty of it myself at one point...Praise God for deliverance.  I don't think they were wrong for removing it since this is a Gospel site, but here's the chords since you seem to have a genuine need for them.  It's a decent song, although I rarely ever listen to secular music now.  I heard someone play it wrong and I was determined to figure out the actual chords, I believe those are correct.

Be blessed.

OK, but I think studying theory of secular songs can be quite useful to learning new techniques for gospel. The original poster here though seems to just want the chords without analyzing the theory. That doesn't bother me. It doesn't interest me either.

Actually there's a gospel song out using these same chords. It's called Run On by 7 Sons of Soul.
