Thanks for the response.  I'm going to keep them.

Ay, no problem, man!  Let us know how they work out for you, especially when they get played in more.  I'm sure that they will get even sweeter with age.

I own the 13" AAX Fusion Hats. I love them. Which hats do you guys think are more versatile?

Versatile out of what choices?

I actually just used a pair of the 15" HHX Groove Hats (Nat. Finish) for a recording a few weeks back. I might have to go back and buy those. Even though they had wash, they weren't out of control. They're even more versatile than I thought they would be.  The only thing I wish they had more of was stick definition, but it wasn't bad enough to complain about.

change your sticks for those... go to a round bead or a nylon bead to bring out the definition. The "E" series from Regal Tip gives a woody sound though it is a nylon tip.

Ay, you could make both of them fit most genres, if you speaking about 'versatility'.  Sure you could play a lot of styles of music with either, but it just depends on what you feel what compliments the music the best.

Studio Hats are nice. Very controlled. Pretty good stick definition too :)

The 13" A Custom hats are good.

I own the K/Z's and they are sweeeet! :D

...yep.  Both of those are very nice. I like both the 13" and 14" A Custom models.  Dave Weckl made those 13" K/Z Dyno Beats very popular.  Till this day I still call them "the Weckl's". LOL

...that's funny.

*Customer calls Zildjian* - "I want to purchase Dave Weckl's Signature HiHats used on his Evolution DVD Series."  Zildjian - "Sir, Dave Weckl is no longer with us nor did he have a signature hihat combination with us."

...the 13" K/Z Dynobeats are the Original Weckl's. LOL

You would take those over the K Mastersounds? What is your Zildjian Pallete? Let me know what you got.

I am torn between
A Cutsom Mastersounds
K Mastersounds
or
Dyno Beats K/Z
all 13's.

God Bless.

Wow. I've changed. I'd like to think, more mature.  ?/? :-\ :)

...hey E-R, your 13" Dark hats and the T. Lang's (13") are my favorite right now.  I like Johnny Rabb's for the X-hats.  j_kay and I tested out the Byzance Brilliant Crashes last night.  (16" Thin and Med. Thin)  So far, the Med. Thin wins out of the two.  I want to check out the Tradish. line though.  8)
