You don't have to stick to play just these chords but you can mix them up and of
course you can play larger chords. If you can play this simple stuff you can
hold down a basic shout at your church. I mixed up some of the sharps and flats.
I partly did not post them correctly because I know it will get confusing to
those of you who are beginners. Theory lovers please forgive me.
One thing I try to do when playing chords is use all of my fingers to play
faster and for finger strength. Also I do this to find the most convenient way
of playing my chords. If you don't use all of your fingers on your hands get
used to doing it it will help you in the long run.
Example of using all my fingers. T-1, I-2, M-3, R-4, P-5
In C
/CEbG......1,2,4
/DFA........1,3,5
/EbGBb.....2,4,5
I would maybe play something like that or I will play like this.
/CEbG......1,2,3
/DFA........1,2,5
/EbGBb.....2,3,4
Just try what ever is comfortable to you but if you work on using all your
fingers you will find out later that it will help you in chording with both
hands, playing scales, and playing larger chords.
I will modify this post and post some midis later. Also if you would like to
know what fingering I use in the shout bass just let me know and I will post it.
